Locato-Study: Transcranial direct current stimulation and intensive cognitive training in patients with mild cognitive impairment
The aim of the project was to study the efficacy and the underlying mechanisms of a new approach in the treatment of patients with (amnestic) mild cognitive impairments. The treatment combined an intensive training of a visual-spatial task lasting several days and simultaneous brain stimulation. Structural and functional cerebral correlates of behavioral changes were measured using magnetic resonance tomography (MRT).
