Career and Family
To help scientists balance career and family, NeuroCure participates in selected programs of the Charité and partner institutions:
In 2016 NeuroCure provided seed funding for a week-long summer camp on Campus Mitte organized by the Charité Family Office for children aged 6-12.
Based on the success of the program, the Family Office was able to secure other funding in 2017 for two weeks of summer camp on all three Charité campuses! For more information please visit the webpage of the Charité Familienbüro.
KidsMobil is a cooperation partner of the Charité offering flexible emergency childcare.
The Life Science Learning Lab (Gläsernes Labor) at the biomedical campus Berlin-Buch offers workshops for students aged 6-16 during school holidays.
NeuroCure played a key role in initiating the new FRÖBEL Kindergarten at the Charité, which opened in 2017 near the Campus Mitte. The new facility provides daycare for approximately 70 children of employees and students of the Charité as well as families from the local community.
NeuroCure is committed to contributing to the success of this facility by providing seed funding for specific programs identified in cooperation with FRÖBEL.
NeuroCure also offers new recruits with families additional support in getting settled in Berlin:
